Support Your Local Business

19 March 2009

‘Support Your Local Business’ Initiative Launched by Minister for Finance

The Howth Sutton Baldoyle Chamber of Commerce ‘Support your Local Business’ initiative was launched by the Minister for Finance, Brian Lenihan, at the Chamber’s Spring Lunch on Friday, 13th March 2009.

“The initiative is aimed at the promotion of local business in the area.  Its purpose is to encourage residents and business owners to look within the immediate vicinity to purchase their products and employ business services” said Jane Lyons, President of the HSB Chamber.

Members of the Chamber have decided to take a pro-active approach to weathering the financial storm which we are now faced with by supporting and promoting each other’s businesses.  Member discounts are being offered in a concerted approach to building on the strong business base in the area.

Local Business Owners will display ‘Support your Local Business’ stickers in highly visible areas for all potential customers to see.

The Chamber’s mission is to initiate debate, represent views and lobby when necessary on behalf of our members. We want to enhance members' ability to successfully conduct their business and to promote the best interests of the area so that we may help create an ideal place to work, live and visit.
